The Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology is one of the oldest departments of Madras Veterinary College established in 1903. The Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology renowned for its excellence and achievements in the field of surgery is also engaged in teaching, research and extension, besides extending surgical facilities to farmers and pet owners.
In recent years the strides made in the field of regenerative medicine at the clinical level paved the path for the establishment of a separate centre for stem cell research and regenerative medicine to the tune of 6.34 cr by the Government of Tamil Nadu. This has served as the basis for the theme for this national symposium.
The 40th ISVS Annual Congress and National Symposium will be the platform for veterinary surgeons across the nation to share and exchange their surgical knowledge and skills to improve the production and longevity of farm and pet animals.
On behalf of the Organising Committee, the Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery and TANUVAS, it is my privilege to invite you to participate in the Annual Congress of ISVS and National Symposium on" B1OMATERIALS AND STEM CELLS FOR TISSUE REPAIR AND REGENRATION IN VETERINARY SURGERY to be held from 2nd to 4th December 2016 at Madras Veterinary College, Chennai.
This congregation of faculty, scientists, field veterinarians and postgraduate research scholars will present original research papers, dinical papers and guest / invited lectures of day to day importance relevant to the practicing veterinary surgeon.
