Roots of CEG date back to May 1794 when it was formed as a School of Survey. The Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the oldest departments of College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), as well as in the country. Established in the year 1894, CEG’s Mechanical Department has been providing excellent learning and research opportunities for undergraduate and post graduate students, in addition to providing consultancy services to the multiple industries.
It is proposed to conduct the First International Conference on Materials, Design and Manufacturing Process during Feb 17- Feb 19, 2016 (ICMDM 2016) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai – 25. The purpose of this inter-disciplinary conference is to bring together the leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share experiences and research findings about all aspects of mechanical engineering. It also provides a inter-multi-trans disciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and academicians to present and discuss the most recent trends and challenges encounterd and the solutions adopted in the field of mechanical engineering.
