The major contribution towards Indian economy is from the design and manufacturing activities. Innovation considered to be crucial should be properly nurtured, delivered, protected and shared. In this scenario, to showcase the achievements and innovations, eminent personalities in the field of design and manufacturing participate in the high-quality research, ‘All India Manufacturing Technology Design and Research (AIMTDR) Conference’.

The AIMTDR conference continue to be a platform for intensive networking and fruitful interaction wherein the technocrats, academicians, researchers, practicing engineers, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, industrialists, start-up professionals, and budding engineers exchange their ideas and share their experiences. The 7^th International & 28^th All India Manufacturing Technology, Design and Research Conference (AIMTDR 2018) is being organized by three departments namely Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Production Technology of Anna University, Chennai during 13^th - 15^th December 2018.
